0300 Numbers
0300 numbers were introduced by alphaTALK as an alternative number for organisations, who wish to offer their consumers a single, trusted point of contact. The cost of calling 0300 numbers is the same as calling a standard landline number, be it from a landline or mobile. All phone numbers starting with 03, including 0333, 0330 and 0300 (0345 and 0370 too) numbers will always cost exactly the same rate as a local call (now known as standard rate call) to dial.

You can even think of them as truly local rate because of this, the confusion is created because of some telephone operators, such as BT, offer and bundle a number of free inclusive call minutes for their customers. These inclusive minutes allow for local calls to be made at no extra charge; in other words, they’re free.
As before, 0333, 0330 and 0300 numbers cost exactly the same as a local rate call. Therefore, if calling a local rate number is free for you, then calling a 0300 number will be free as well. If your mobile operator, such as O2 or Vodafone, also provides you with inclusive call minutes, then calls to 0300 numbers will also be free.
If you do not receive inclusive call minutes as part of your landline or mobile package, then calls to 0333, 0330 or 0300 numbers will only ever cost as much as a local rate call, such as 0207 for London or 0161 for Manchester.
We at alphaTALK are able to offer 0300 numbers for charities and non-profit organisations and 0330 numbers for businesses and everybody else. According to Ofcom, in 2012, over 92% of adults in the UK owned or had regular access to a mobile phone, with the number increasing all the time. Give your business or organisation a distinct advantage when it comes to customers or clients having fewer barriers to call you.
